Custom orthotics work great depending on the condition treated, prescription and design of the orthotic. The evidence based research outlines the effectiveness of custom orthotics in treating a wide variety of lower-limb complications. This is however depended correlation between biomechanical measurements and orthotic prescription. 

Dedending on the assessments required and time, the initial consultation costs range from $80 for general assessments to $150 for biomechanical assessments. The Podiatrist will be able to give a better idea on costs involved.

Orthotics is a very general term, there are many different types of orthotics, they can range from $50 for generic, with custom orthotics ranging between $600 to $1200, depending on style, type, condition, needs and budget of the patient. A Podiatrist will discuss the best possible range for your needs. AFOs can start from $1200 each. 

Only Podiatrist who hold an endorsement for scheduled medication are able to prescribed certain pain medications medications and antibiotics, which relates to foot and lower limb conditions. The only surgical procedures conducted by our Podiatrist are: Partial Nail Avulsion (PNA), Total Nail Avulsion (TNA) and Curettage of wart or foreign object. This is conducted at the clinic under local aesthetic. More complicated foot surgery is often referred to a Podiatric Surgeon.
